Privacy policy
Last updated October 14, 2026. Applies to Math Learner for Android and for iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS), and to this website.
Math Learner is a math app for children aged 3 to 10. We built it so that it collects as little as possible. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and no accounts. This policy explains exactly what the app stores and where.
Which apps this covers
This policy covers both versions of Math Learner:
- Android phones and tablets, downloaded from Google Play as "Math Learner".
- iPhone and iPad, downloaded from the Apple App Store as "Math Learner: Fun Brain Games".
Both versions handle information in the same way, except where this policy says otherwise.
What the app stores on the device
To run lessons and show progress, the app saves the following on the phone or tablet it is installed on:
- The age chosen during setup and the topics picked as learning goals, used to choose the right difficulty.
- A child's name or nickname, only if a parent types one in the parent area. It is optional and only used to greet the child and label the Report Card.
- Learning progress: questions answered, accuracy, levels, stars, coins, XP, streaks, quests and badges.
- Settings such as language, music, sound effects and vibration.
This information is not sent to us. We do not run servers that receive it, and we cannot see it.
Device backup
On Android, the app allows Android's own backup service, so progress and settings can come back when you move to a new device. That backup is handled by Google, stored in your Google account, and only happens if backup is turned on in your device settings. On iPhone and iPad, app data can be included in your own iCloud or computer backup, handled by Apple, in the same way. We cannot access these backups.
Purchases
Math Learner Premium is an optional subscription. On Android, payments are handled by Google Play; on iPhone and iPad, by the Apple App Store. We never see card numbers or billing details. In both versions we use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the store purchase receipt, an anonymous app user ID created by the app, and basic technical details such as the app version and device platform. It does not receive the child's name, age or progress.
What we do not collect
- No email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses.
- No photos, audio, video, contacts or location.
- No advertising IDs, and no data for advertising or profiling.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools.
On Android the app asks only for internet access (for purchases), Google Play billing and vibration. On iPhone and iPad it asks for no special permissions. Neither version asks for the camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.
Children's privacy
Math Learner is designed for children and follows the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Google Play's Families policy for the Android app and Apple's App Store rules for kids apps for the iPhone and iPad app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Emails you send us
If you email us for help, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. We delete support emails when they are no longer needed.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Deleting data
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the device. You can also reset progress from the parent area. To remove a backup, delete it in your Google account's backup settings on Android, or in iCloud settings on iPhone and iPad.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because the app keeps its data on your device, you can exercise most of these directly. For anything else, contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
